Emblazoning the stage with sultry cheesecake, brawny beefcake, high-concept slapstick and southern charm, Atlanta's legendary Dames Aflame have danced 'n teased long and long but have yet to lose their freshness!

A "tossed salad, if you will, of Atlanta's fashionistas, artisti and intelligentsia," the members of Dames Aflame bring years of showbiz experience to their fiesty blend of burlesque having performed on Good Morning America, MTV's House of Style, MTV's Brickface and Stucco, Atom Film's Bikini Bandits DVD, Dee Dee Ramone's "In a Movie" video, Turner South Network, Cartoon Network, FOX5's Good Day Atlanta and PBS. They've also toured with Tencacious D and El Vez, swung with the Cab Calloway Orchestra, fired up the crowds at Atlanta Hawks games, added atmosphere to SCION car events and have appeared in UK's The Face magazine, the Village Voice and Belgium Elle. Most recently, the Dames' "Showbiz What Sizzles" show was featured in Spin Magazine's 101 Best Night's Out.

The Dames Aflame have recently returned from Montreal, Canada where they performed in a Burlesque showcase directed by Zumanity’s Andrew Watson, Thierry Mugler and Cal McCrystal. The show, entitled "BBQ”, included other specially chosen performers such as Catherine D’Lish and Selene Luna from Los Angeles and Mr. Murray Hill and World Famous *Bob* from New York City, as well as Cirque du Soleil veterans Roc, Michele and Mooky Schmooky (from Varakai). The Dames Aflame were featured in five different acts within the show including their famous “Hot Donuts Now” number and the “Lion/Centurion” act.

“It was thrilling to spend a week of rehearsals with so many accomplished professionals and to take direction from Cal McCrystal, who not only directed Zumanity, but also worked on two of my favorite Britcoms: Ali G and The Mighty Boosh,” says Big Mike Geier, Dames Aflame’s resident hunk o’ beef cake and original member, “Cal has more comic genius in his left nut than I have in all three of my mine.”

“Not only did we enjoy learning new routines from choreographer Cynthia Akanga, the dancers also had the pleasure of wearing designs by Thierry Mugler which were flown in from Mode et Patrimoine in Paris,” recounts Luna Luxx, Dames Aflame feature performer and costume designer.

Dames Aflame is available to perform as a group and in solo acts (or both) at clubs, theaters, gallery spaces, corporate parties, benefits, special events, and festivals all over this great land of ours.
